Mumbai Businessman Buys Home Worth Rs 125 Crores, Opposite To Mukesh Ambani's



Looks like Mukesh Ambani is going to get a new neighbor. A Mumbai based businessmen has bought two floors of a luxury residential tower, diagonally opposite Mukesh Ambani’s house Antilia.

The businessman has bought the two flooes at Altamount road at Lodha Altamount, registered in the name of Deven Mehta. The flat which has been reportedly bought for Rs. 125 Crores amounts to about Rs. 1,47,000 per square feet in the 40 storey property.

Deven Mehta is a city businessman who is the Managing Director and Chairman of Smart Card IT Solutions Ltd.

The Prabhadevi property registration office confirmed the deal.

This comes as a bit of a surprise as many low profile businessmen across the city are hounded by corporates as they have defaulted bank loans.

Some High Networth Individuals (HNI) who have acquired property here are Shrikrishan and Ajay Jindal, promoter of Jindal drugs who have brought the three-floor penthouse, an estimated Rs. 225 crore.

The Lodha Group is the real estate developer of Lodha Altamount, and is being built on the same plot where Washington House, owned by the American Consulate was located.

The 40 storey Lodha Altamount is also called as the Billionaire’s Avenue as most of the country’s top industrialists live here. It has a complete glass façade on the lines of Time Waner building in New York City. Kumar Mangalam Birla, Narotam Sekhseria of Gujarat Ambuja, Radhakrishnan Damani of D’Mart also live here.
