Second-most English speaking country

Both Hindi and English are popular in India. There are hundreds of languages in India. here. English is most commonly spoken in the United States (US), where about 250 million people speak English. Speaking English here means the main language (First language). India ranks second in the world with the highest number of English-speaking people or whose main language is English. Most number of vegetarian people

Search data from Google Trends last year says that between 2014 and 2018, people around the world are turning to vegetarianism. Despite the millions of non-vegetarians in our country, India is the world's largest vegetarian country. There are more vegetarians than non-vegetarians in any country. An estimated 50 per cent of the country's population is vegetarian. The second was Israel, where 13 per cent of the population was reported to be dependent on vegetarianism.

'People of all big religions live in India'

India is a diverse country where people of all major religions of the world are living peacefully.

Second highest population

India is the second-most populous country in the world. At present, India's population is considered to be about 135 crore. Even though the census work has been stopped due to corona, the population is definitely growing rapidly. According to a report, India will overtake China in terms of population in a few years.

Sentinelese tribe

The Sentinelese, hunter-gatherers armed with primitive spears and bows and arrows, are considered to be the last pre-Neolithic tribe in the world and the most isolated such group. The tribe, estimated to be only a few dozen in number, have for decades aggressively resisted contact with the outside world. 

Anthropologists were briefly in contact with the tribe in the early 1990s, but their effort was abandoned due to fears that contact with the outside world could expose the tribe to pathogens and lead to their extinction. 

North Sentinel, 50 km (31 miles) west of Port Blair - the capital of the island cluster - is protected by laws that bar even fishing within a 5-nautical mile radius of the island. 

The law also bars tourism or photography of the Sentinelese and certain other tribes in the Andaman Islands. Those found guilty of breaking the law face jail of up to three years.

From ancient times, India was the source of nearly all the world's known diamonds, and until the discovery of diamonds in South Africa in 1896, India was the only place where diamonds were mined.

In some states, the police department gives moustache allowances to maintain moustaches.

Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus also originated in India. Quadratic Equations were used by Sridharacharya in the 11th century.
