Automotive start-ups meet on July 8 at Maker village



Gone are the days when 'automotive' meant designing, building and selling vehicles and parts.The auto world, especially its transportation segment, has now been turned upside down by emerging smart technologies that promise to change the way people travel from Point A to Point B.

 Maker village, in association with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) and AutoNebula, will host 'Igniting Automotive Startups Meet-up', a platform for prospective entrepreneurs connected to transport industry, at Kinfra-Hitech Park here on July 8.

"The future of mobility is all about smart transportation and Internet of Things (IoT) as enabler for connecting vehicles.
Anyone having exceptional innovative ideas in transport connectivity, whether gadgets for smart cars or IoT applications in the automotive segment, is welcome to attend the event," said Rohan Kalani, Director- Operations, Maker village.

"In fact, we encourage all entrepreneurs in the connected transport industry to participate in this event," he added.
Interested candidates can share the concepts and models at segal@autonebula.com. The shortlisted candidates will be given the opportunity to participate in the meet-up to be held at Maker village.

"The prime objective of the event is to provide a platform to prospective startups and viable ideas.

Following the pre-screening, we will invite them for participation. Selected companies will get a chance for co-incubation with Maker Village and KSUM," Kalani said.

The areas of application include artificial intelligence, E-vehicle energy alternative, prognosis and vehicle security, mobility, infotainment, diagnostics and logistics.
