Two Simple Ways to Improve Your Days

If you want to live your life to the fullest, you need to make your days great. If your days are great, there is a good chance that your life will also be great.

Fortunately, improving your days doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need to do something big for that. Instead, you just need to do some simple things. Doing these simple things can have a profound impact on your days.

Here are two ways to improve your days:

1. Make simple rules.

The idea is that you should have some simple rules to live by throughout your day.

The key word here is simple. Don’t make it complicated. Don’t make something that’s difficult to remember. Instead, make a rule that’s simple and easy to remember. Why? Because you are more likely to follow it that way.

Here are some examples:
Stop working at 6 pm.
Don’t check emails first thing in the morning.
Use the time before sleeping for reading.
These rules are simple, aren’t they? But applying them could improve your days.

Of course, you shouldn’t start with too many rules. In fact, I suggest you to start with just one rule. Think about the one rule that would make the most difference in your life, and start with it.

2. Build mini habits.

The idea is that to build a new habit, you should start small. Even if it seems ridiculously small, then it’s good.

The goal here is to get you started. Why? Because getting started is often the most difficult part of building a new habit.  Many people try to start big and fail because they get overwhelmed.

So start small. Start with something you can easily do. With that small beginning, you can build momentum. You will be able to do bigger things over time.
Here are some examples of mini habits:
Reading one page every day.
Doing five push-ups in the morning.
Writing 50 words a day.
You can easily do these things. With these, you can start building momentum.

Improve your days by making simple rules and building mini habits. If you do them, you will be on your way to living your life to the fullest.
