It's Not a Piece of Cake

Do you know why there is such a big drop off rate in Network Marketing? It is because they were told that the profession was a piece of cake. They were told that they would hardly have to work, don’t have to sell anything, or the product sells itself. Then when they get started, they realize that there is a lot of work that goes into building a real business, and that’s not what they signed up for. Next thing you know, they’ve decided to leave.

Network Marketing isn’t easy, but it is worth it. Not everyone is going to be successful in this profession, but that is how it is with everything in life. Many people who go to college never complete it. Over 90% of people who get a real estate license in the U.S. never sell a single home. Most people don’t finish what they start, so why would Network Marketing be any different?
Here’s the truth… Many people who get involved in Network Marketing discover that it’s real work, and they drop out. Other people only get involved for the product. They get a few customers and only make enough to cover the cost of the product for themselves. A lot of people work a little harder and earn some money. And the few who really put in the effort and are willing to face their fear are the ones who create huge incomes and become financially free. That’s true in every walk of life.

Some people will say that all you have to do is work hard for a few years instead of 40 years, and you can be financially free. Well, I don’t know anyone who got involved for a few years, and then went to the beach to relax ever since. If you’re an entrepreneur, you’re growing and building something all the time. Once you’ve built a framework for a long-term career, you still have to work at it, evolve, get better, and grow. So, everybody doesn’t succeed in Network Marketing, but if you decide that you want to do something with your life, it can give you an opportunity without limits.
You need to create a culture in your group and company that presents Network Marketing in a truer light. We have a better way. The truth is enough!
If you misrepresent the product or opportunity, your future is limited. The people you recruit will constantly have an expectation that cannot be met, and they will constantly be disappointed with you. But if you set an expectation that says, “It’s hard, but it’s worth it,” then people are going to respect you. Which is more credible… “it’s hard and challenging but worth it” or “it’s easy and we can give you instant success”?
